Our Vision
Great Falls Trail Blazers held two focus group meetings in spring of 2006 as part of the Citizens' Association 2020 Visioning process. At those meetings, people identified the following needs:
- Install trails on both sides of major roads
- Improve pedestrian access to Great Falls Village Center
- Connect stream valley trails to the parks
- Complete the trails on Fairfax County Park property
- Open access to schools for pedestrians and bicycles
- Map and obtain easements for equestrian trails
- Install natural surface trails in gas pipeline areas
- Establish a trails maintenance system
- Connect willing Home Owners Association trails to the trail system
